DIY Deodorant

A natural, toxin-free alternative to shop-bought deodorants, this DIY version is made with just four simple ingredients. Not only is it affordable and easy to make, but it’s also far better for your skin and the environment.

Materials

  • 2 tbsp Shea Butter
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 1 tbsp Sodium Bicarbonate
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 5-10 drops Essential Oil

Instructions

  • Melt shea butter and coconut oil in the microwave in 30-second increments, or alternatively use a double boiler.
  • Remove from heat and stir in cornstarch and sodium bicarbonate.
  • Add essential oils if using.
  • Pour into a clean jar and stir occasionally while it sets to ensure the powders are evenly dispersed through the mixture.
  • Apply a small amount to underarms and feel the freshness!
